Feng Shui Wind chime placementIf you're looking to implement some Feng Shui guides on where to organize and hang your wind chimes, you can find it here! Although some people believe that Feng Shui is some sort of East Asian magic and superstition, it's actually not. Basically, it's just a sort of guide on where you can logically place and organize your home and working space together so that everything brings good, harmonious vibes. Feng Shui is a philosophy based on an unseen but tangible universal energy that is believed to flow all around us. The Feng Shue tradition uses five natural elements to define itself. There Earth, Fire, Metal, Water and Wood that supposedly makes our world balanced in our every day activities. Since we are always surrounded by positive or negative vibes (natural vs. "man-made"), we can implement the use of wind chimes as a way to balance out the the negative vibes. For example, perfectly tuned wind chimes can be used to ward away the negative sounds such as construction machines or cars and such. Chimes that are well-tuned to produce melodic notes will most certainly create a positive flow of energy where it's located. However, be careful in your selection of wind chimes as well. For example, chimes that aren't tuned or out of tune will more likely bring you a negative energy flow, something that you won't want in your surrounding areas. Your wind chime should only flow soothing soft noises and not some loud and bothersome clanking of materials. The sound of the wind chime is not the only factor to consider in a good chi of energy in the Feng Shui aspect. Where you hang your wind chimes is also critical. Although they were traditionally hung on door ways in order to block "evil spirits" from entering, this is no longer an approach that should be used (remember, you don't want the wind chime in a place where you'll hit on it a lot as it would more likely bring a negative energy flow as well as damage it). Nowadays, some areas to consider would be the North West part of your home or area. Great areas to implement your wind chime includes places close to quiet, "santuary-symbolize" items such as statues, archways and circles. Although it's okay to hang your wind chime on an area near a decorative water fountain or such, make sure that the combination of both sound complement each other and not clash together. It's also not
such a great idea to put your delicate sounding wind chime with
other noise making mechanisms in an area as it's very likely the
sounds are going to mix well together. Your wind chime should not
clash with any items of where it's located including non-musical
artwork. Some great areas that a wind chime can be effectively
placed at includes the porch, a patio or verandah and even a car
port. However, they shouldn't block the walkways of placed in such
areas. |
